Chantek Batik is a Malaysian batik brand created to celebrate motifs that spark memories, stories, and a deep connection to our heritage.

Born in a small studio in Kota Kemuning in 2020, Chantek Batik has grown into a trusted local brand that proudly offers 100% genuine handmade batik in Malaysia.

Our roots began much earlier.

We are the second generation of batik apparel makers from Eng Hong Long Batik Centre, a family batik business established in Terengganu, on the east coast of Malaysia, back in the 1990s.

Our mission is to bring the beauty of handmade batik from Terengganu to a wider community in Malaysia, while inspiring the younger generation to value and appreciate our heritage and traditions.

At Chantek Batik, we are committed to preserving the traditional method of producing batik through the wax-resist dyeing technique.

With this dedication, we work closely with local artisans, especially from Terengganu and Kelantan, who continue to make their living through this meaningful craft.

Staying true to our principles, all of our batik series — from fabrics to apparel — are crafted using high-quality natural fibre fabrics, resulting in beautiful batik pieces made with care, heritage, and heart.
